I had heard that the food in the Rimjhim in Colden Common was very good, so I went along with my two friends on a Saturday evening.
The restaurant was very busy, and there was a queue out of the door but we parked ok in the car park and our table was still intact. The restaurant was very attractive inside and had character. We weren't sure what to order so asked the waiter to choose starters and main courses, fish or meat for me and vegetarian for my friend. I thought that was the best idea because the dishes looked very unusual and I had no idea what they were. It turned out that everything was absolutely fabulous, and my friend and I had lovely meals.
They were all mild dishes and beautifully laid out on the plates. After speaking to the waiter he said that the new Rimjhim was open in Southampton so we went there at the end of February. The place looks totally different because the Colden Common one is a former pub. It is very classy inside and we asked for the same dishes as before. The quality was exactly the same and we met the chef who was charming and explained what we were eating. Can't wait to go back again.
